European Coating Show 2009 - 31 March to 2 April - Nuernberg, Germany
"First signs of spring"
The motto of the European Coating Show 2009 clearly was "Defy the Crisis".
Though the Coatings industry faces economical challenges mainly due to the downswing of the Automotive & Building industry, the exhibition left a sensation of optimism.
With 806 exhibitors form 42 countries and ~ 20.000 visitors from 90 countries participation was slightly below the previous Show, but exhibition space of 27.500 m² had even increased.
Common conclusion after 3 days of exhibition was that the quality of the event has in fact improved.
For IMCD Coatings the Show went extraordinary well. IMCD participants form all-over Europe, Africa and India took the chance to meet with customers and suppliers to negotiate more intensively than ever. Our 200 m² booth was highly frequented and we thank our business partners and new contacts for making this Show to a success for everybody.
Let's bring the positive spirits from Nuernberg to our IMCD countries!

From raw materials to formulation : IMCD launches Personal Care Academy
The first IMCD Switzerland Coatings customer seminar took place recently at the very special underground location “Hagerbach test gallery”.
IMCD Group B.V. exhibited at Chemspec Europe in Berlin 9 and 10 June 2010.
IMCD UK exhibited at Surfex 2010, the biennial trade show for the coating industry in the UK, held in Harrogate on 8 and 9 June.
Third IMCD Benelux Event, 2 days sailing at the Waddenzee with customers and suppliers.
This year the Plastteknik Öresund exhibitioned for the first time in the brand new Malmö Arena.
