Making a difference in China: Ensuring Wang gets the education he deserves

As a regular lunchtime customer of nearby restaurant Element Fresh, IMCD China collects points with every purchase that are redeemable for charity donations. Around every 9-10 months this amounts to a full year’s school tuition for a migrant worker’s child in Shanghai with restricted access to schools, healthcare or social insurance due to the government’s household registry system.

As an example, IMCD China’s funding has previously gone to Wang Zhenwei, a third grade student supported single-handedly by his father who works as a pedicab driver. IMCD China aims to make a positive impact on local communities and is continually delighted to see how a simple contribution can make such a momentous difference to the lives of others.
