IMCD presented six brand new formulations at FiE 2015

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands (10 December, 2015) – During the Food Ingredients Europe (FiE) in Paris 1st-3rd of December 2015, the IMCD Food & Nutrition’s technical team presented six brand new formulations.

Fuelling nutrition shakes, a delicious bake stable fruit filling, a luxurious vanilla muffin with frosting, cocktail and fruit sugar-free candy, an egg-free autumn dressing and a refreshingly reduced sugar syrup beverage are the skilfully developed products that were showcased at FiE.  These application samples demonstrate how IMCD brings added-value to its partners by offering tailored solutions that resolve their individual challenges and requirements.

Created using a range of ingredients from IMCD’s suppliers, these formulations all satisfy one or more of the newest market trends currently relevant in the food industry, namely: clear labels, convenience, millennials, snacks, good fats/good carbohydrates, right protein, real fruit, frozen foods, and texture focus. In terms of food market sectors, the new formulations cover dairy, nutrition, savoury, beverage, confectionary and fruits & vegetables.

Each formulation has been developed by IMCD’s application technologists and is a result of ingredient innovation together with a passion for application understanding, new product development, and knowledge of the latest market trends.

Michel Faes, IMCD Food & Nutrition Technical Manager, comments: “Through our network of local application labs, we help our customers to solve the daily challenges of innovation, cost reduction, taste improvement, texture modification, health & nutrition enhancement and ever-changing legislative requirements. Local food & nutrition market variations require that we fully understand the local recipes, applications and processes. This we call our RAP philosophy. These six new formulations are an excellent example of how our comprehensive application expertise brings us closer to our customers, demonstrating not only our ingredient knowledge, but also our extensive application capabilities and our understanding of local market needs.”

The demonstration sessions on IMCD’s booth were met with a lot of interest from the trade show visitors and media alike.
