Quality Assurance

IMCD is a valued and trustworthy partner for all its customers and suppliers, dedicated to providing high quality products and services that meet our stakeholders’ expectations.

The three pillars of our Quality Management at IMCD are People, Continuous Improvement & Selection of Suppliers:

• we provide continuous training to all employees to ensure competence and the ability to deliver a service of the highest level of quality;

• we regularly assess and continually improve our activities through the execution of internal audits aimed at verifying compliance to our internal set of procedures and the capacity to reach quality goals defined centrally;

• we assess suppliers and service providers to ensure that products are procured from reliable sources and to maintain a meaningful agreement of commitments on quality, safety, environment, social and ethical areas.

We utilise management systems and certifications released from internationally accredited bodies, to fully ensure compliance to the applicable health, safety and environmental regulations and quality standards.

Quality management within the IMCD Group is based on the internationally recognised ISO 9001 standard. By 2021, we are looking to extend the implementation of said standard to the whole Group, by introducing a global Corporate Quality Management System certified according to ISO 9001.

In addition, operating companies also implement complementary quality management systems should they be relevant to the specific products they distribute, such as: ISO 22000/HACCP/BRC for food safety management, GMP+ for Good Manufacturing Practices for food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, GDP for Good Distribution Practices for pharmaceutical products, and ECO for organic products.
