Epoxy-Polysiloxanes

Epoxy coatings with outstanding weather resistance
Epoxy-polysiloxanes – Description

An epoxy-polysiloxane coating is a two-component epoxy coating that consists of an epoxy resin and an amino-functional silicone resin that replaces the usual organic curing agent (e.g. polyamine). Cycloaliphatic epoxy resins are required to achieve optimal outdoor and UV resistance.

This technology creates coatings with unparalleled weathering stability, ideal for steel structures in severely corrosive environments.

Benefits:

  • Outstanding weather resistance
  • Very high hardness
  • Excellent long-term gloss stability
  • Excellent solvent resistance
  • Volatile organic compound (VOC)-free
