Silane modified polymers for metal coatings with good corrosion and UV resistance

31 May 2022

About the webinar
Silane terminated polymers are established in Adhesives & Sealants applications for many years. Further developments with higher crosslinking density have enabled new applications in structural adhesives.

A new generation of higher functional silane modified polymers has been successfully introduced into the floor coatings market recently. Studies have shown, that those polymers have interesting properties for the formulation of metal coatings due to good adhesion, mechanical and water-resistance as well as fast curing speed.

Based on these pre-studies, IMCD Coatings & Construction Technical Experts have developed a new 100% solvent-free, 1K metal primer and topcoat formulation. As always, new technologies hide several surprises and so obstacles have been solved to reach formulations with excellent corrosion protection and QUV-B resistance properties.
