Oleyl alcohol
Oleyl alcohol is a mixture of unsaturated and saturated long-chain fatty alcohols mainly made up of oleyl alcohol and elaidyl alcohol. Being oily in nature, Oleyl alcohol might form an occlusive film on the skin and increase hydration. It can thus be used as a penetration enhancer in topical formulations
