Polyoxyethylene castor oil derivatives are non-ionic solubilisers and emulsifiers used in oral formulations. For oral formulations, it works well as a solubiliser in aqueous and hydroalcoholic solutions for fat soluble vitamins, essential oils and other hydrophobic drugs.

  • HLB: 14 - 16
  • Polyoxyl 60 hydrogenated castor oil, appearance: white paste at room temperature
  • HLB: 15 - 17

Benefits / Claims
Polyoxyl castor oil derivatives are also excellent solubilisers for hydrophobic actives and can be used as a wetting agent too.
