Reactive liquid polymers are unique, 100% active solvent-free materials that provide many benefits to high-performance applications. These innovative materials are designed to significantly enhance the fracture toughness, low temperature flexibility and mechanical properties, impact/crack chip resistance adhesion and other performance parameters when added to thermoset formulations. Carboxyl, amine, epoxy, glycidyl ester, methacrylate vinyl, and hydroxyl functional end-groups enable these materials to crosslink with different polymers. These functional groups make the RLPs ideally suited as additives for epoxy, vinyl ester, UPE, and acrylic resin systems.
The Hypro hydroxyl terminated HT series, CVC’s most recent addition to the portfolio, are used as polyols in polyurethane systems. The first product in the HT series, Hypro™ 2800X95, is well suited for production of urethanes that are very soft and flexible, even at low temperatures, and exhibits excellent water/moisture resistance. These are desirable features in applications such as window sealants, electrical encapsulants, and urethane adhesives.
