IMCD Stem Lab is an educational project developed by IMCD Italy and BDC School which, through an innovative academic program on STEM subjects and a real experimental laboratory, brings science, active teaching and business closer together.

IMCD Stem Lab, located in Milan within BDC School, was designed to be used by students of different age groups (from kindergarten to secondary school). The Laboratory is structured for different types of activities (chemistry experiments, biology activities, coding, educational robotics, etc.) and will also be open to non-enrolled students: the goal is in fact to create a meeting point that allows advanced training in scientific subjects for all young people in the area (and beyond). In particular, great attention will be paid to the theme “Women and STEM studies”.

With this project, IMCD puts its know-how and the rich

wealth of sectoral skills of its team at the service of the school, starting to work closely with the teachers of BDC School.

The structure of the STEM laboratory is in line both with the educational philosophy of BDC School and also with the “Inquiry Based Learning” methodology typical of the Anglo-Saxon culture and, in particular, with the modus operandi of Cambridge International that BDC School integrates within its curriculum. This project will also make it possible to apply the IB curriculum that the school is introducing into its training proposal with BDC Middle School students.
