Case.Strengthening local partnerships and sustainability: IMCD’s collaboration with a new pallet provider

In line with our commitment to responsible growth, supply chain optimisation, and strong local partnerships, IMCD initiated a new collaboration with a family-owned pallet producer based Bergen-op-Zoom.

Until recently, all pallets used at our Bergen-op-Zoom centralised warehouse were transported from Rotterdam, a route that required significant mileage and added unnecessary emissions and logistical effort.

The partner commits to sustainable pallet production by embracing circular material use, utilising heat from waste for heat treatments, sourcing wood responsibly, applying efficient low-impact production methods, and enabling zero-emission transport.

This collaboration marks a meaningful step forward in IMCD’s sustainability journey, reducing transport emissions, shortening lead times, and supporting local businesses deeply aligned with our ESG values.
